+ Backlane Cafe: Every corners here are so Instagram-worthy. I get really excited seeing bricks wall, greeneries and all vintage collection display. They also served my orange juice in a cute house-shaped glass.

+ Mods Cafe: Just a stopover as we were touring around with bike. The space is really small, I guess that's why they restrict to 1 drink per person. Quite interesting to see a camper van in a shop. What surprised me most is they still use the old school cash register!

It was the most hectic week. We were in the midst of making arrangements and thought it would be just nice to make use of our extra day-off. Joe's family also came over for the long weekend so we got to spend some quality time together. Haze was getting really terrible so we try to stay indoor most of the time. We went to IKEA to get furnitures and witnessed the longest queue at every cashier counters due to public holiday. I'm glad we have settled most of the things now. Felt really thankful for the family's help to speed things up.
Since we woke up really early for breakfast last Sunday, we have more time to spare for the day. Finally went to Imbi Market again after so long. I miss being in the streets of KL. As we drove past every familiar streets, it reminds me of how I used to drive around by myself, going wherever I want to, I don't feel lonely at all but enjoying every bit of it.
Later in the afternoon, we decided to go cafehop after we're done with all the errands. Not willing to go too far so we came to this recently opened cafe—Bean Brothers. It's located at the industrial area nearby.
The foods and drinks are better than expected, but they have really limited choices. It's a cafe that I don't mind coming back few more times. It's probably the most spacious cafe up to date. There's few nice spot to take photos. It's designed in industrial style with a touch of contemporary chic. I like the unfinished look and texture of the tiles and brick walls. I find the giant flipping door at the front entrance looks very welcoming too.

It's finally a weekend of my own. I managed to wake up early for a nice breakfast at a cosy tea house today, went for grocery shopping, grab a quick lunch and got my caffeine fix. I also did some spring cleaning to my room & made some new arrangement. Now I kinda have a walk-in wardrobe in the small room and all that I need now is a full length mirror!
I'm feeling a tad nostalgic at this tea house earlier today when an old lady walked in with 2 of his adult sons. The lady boss then introduced the old lady to her new worker, Betty. — "Betty, come over and meet my best friend, whom I've known all my life. From primary school to secondary school, we went to the same university, got married, with our grown up kids going to get married soon too & we're both retired women. Look how time flew by!"
So much awwwww-ness from my heart.

This place has become a must-visit every time I come to this country. I can still remember the smell of roasted coffee beans the moment we entered the cafe. It's soooo awsm I swear! The flat white I had this time was not as good, but it didn't ruin my mood though. I enjoyed my few hours time there and went out exploring Sisowath Quay area by feet.

And this was when I finally got the chance to play with my new toy!

After hearing so much about this place(and pictures), finally we're here. We did pass by the branch in Siam Center as we explore around but I insisted to make it to the main branch at Thong Lor. Once I got in, I immediately go up the stairs to check out the second floor. It's like entering the world of Alice. I have to say I'm a lil disappointed because I expected the space to be really big. I feel like a gigantic monster crashing in the house of dwarfs and fairies. It was such tiny space with low ceiling up there, as soon as I started to feel suffocated, I decided to get down, get a seat and start looking at the menu for foods.
Everything in the cafe from furnitures and interior decorations, serving teapots and cups etc are all custom made with Mr Jones' Orphanage label. Totally love the vintage teapots and cups that we feel like stealing them home!

Really love this set of pictures – the color tone, not sure if it's the combination of cafe ambiance and sunlight or the film itself. The foods there was.. so-so and kinda pricey. It comes in a very small portion but the coffee was good though.

I managed to visit this hidden cafe earlier today. It's located near to my place. I like how cosy and simple everything is, it only takes up a small corner at the outside of an art gallery. I went there during lunch time, it was kinda windy and shady because it's under all the big trees. I love that it's quiet and peaceful too..
