I finally have time to compile our birthdays trip + his proposal.
Everytime when we travel by ourselves, budgeting is a struggle. But we love our stay in Phi Phi Island so much, even though we didn't get to spend much time in the room. It's not cheap compared to many other hotels, it certainly does not have the most strategic location but it's worth every steps climbing up the stairs to get to the room and it's definitely worth every pennies we paid.
Joe went for scuba discovery the next day. It's the very same boat I was on last year with Evon. I like that it's free and easy with less than 15 person on the boat. Lunch and fruits will be served, and you get to make hot coffee as much as you can drink. The boy took us to a hidden bay nearby. It's a small bay with lots of hermit crabs. The view looking out from the bay is simply breathtaking. We laid on the beach just relax. It felt as all of our worries and stress get washed away as the waves crash along the shore.

Koh Hong, where he kneeled down and popped the question, on his birthday.
I told him that if he ever going to do it, please make sure I have my make up on and decently dressed. And yet he chose the time where I have salty messy hair, completely barefaced, plump body with a mismatched bikini because I thought, who's going to look at me thoroughly and judge me anyway? T__T

It was raining when we arrived at Krabi mainland. But it all went well, of course! We had dinner at a hilltop restaurant to celebrate Joe's birthday. It was a very simple occasion, just us enjoying our early dinner, laughing and taking pictures while watching the sun goes down.
Krabi has always been a place that I hold dear to, it's the first place I travelled abroad by myself. I've been going back every year, it's like my comfort place. Now Krabi has become a place that's even more special to me.
Now.. here comes the wedding prep nightmares every soon-to-be bride is afraid of......

It's entirely different at Phi Phi Island compared to Ao Nang. You will still see long tail boats lining up by the seashore, but there's another beach on the other side of island where you will find a lot of tourists sunbathing on the beach, swimming in the sea, playing water sports & etc..

I was dumbstruck upon reaching the said beach at night, it's so packed with tourists and the music blasting from one bar to another on the same row, there's also fire show performances along the beach.. We found ourselves a cosy seat to lay back and relax.. As usual I almost fall asleep even with the loud music and bass system because it gets so breezy after! Oh ya, the drinks are dirt cheap too!

Thank God for the perfect weather and blessings throughout the trip, where I got to try things for the first time and came home safe with a better state of mind. Most importantly, I've never felt so pumped up to be back at work. This motivation better keeps going. x

Here comes the end of my longest 5D4N in Krabi.
I totally got lost track of time. Just love how life is so slow-paced over there, or maybe because my subconscious knew that I'm on vacation? Well, the right mindset always matters.
I spent 2 nights in Ao Nang, Krabi and another 2 nights on Phi Phi Island. I've always love Krabi because it's peaceful and safer(at least to me because this is my 5th time there.) & from Krabi, you can take ferry to any islands nearby or even to Phuket. However, year after year, Krabi has become more touristy now with restaurants & cafes selling overpriced foods—but all of their Thai foods are still yums! Nightlife is not so happening here. My favourite place to hang out at night is Longhorn Saloon @ Centerpoint because there's pool table and liveband performance, or you can stroll around the beach with a bottle of juice or beer, just sit on the benches, enjoy the sea breeze and call it a day.

This reminds me so much about 4 years ago. Same destination, same period different year, same old feeling but different companion. A trip I've been looking forward to, a getaway hoping to clear off my mind from all that dumbshits and distractions and just.. staying away from everyone who knows me.
Everything happened during our journey leave me feeling so unbelievable incredible
This trip initially got canceled. I'm glad we made it happen.

Ever since the invention of VSCO Cam, I have to admit that I've become really lazy to take time going through my photos and edit them. Time is just not enough and I’m definitely not doing enough. Anyway, here's some snippets from my last Krabi trip. We stayed at a different side this time around and spent lesser time at the beach. However, it was somewhat an unforgettable trip because we had small accident on our rafting session, which is quite scary to even recall back.
I’ve been stalking this guy from Taiwan, he has amazing photos collection taken by Olympus OM-10. It's neat with fine details. He makes me love mine even more. And I wonder, how do people like him keep up with taking photos so frequently? I know it’s a passion, you’ll enjoy it when it’s something you’d love to do, but sometimes you just can’t find time for it, no? Check him out because you should!

I like to observe people especially when I'm alone. I always feel captivated as I watch their different facial expressions. The faces of joy, anger, hopefulness, sadness and helplessness.. My favourite one would be watching the kids. They're just so pure and innocent. Sometimes they're just too naughty you feel like want to give them a punch in the face, or reach out your foot as they run to make them trip. I love to see the elderly too. Their wrinkles look like there's a lot of stories to tell.
