We're now legally husband and wife!
I was worried about the weather the whole night because it's been raining for the entire day, it just won't stop. I can't sleep well that night. After I get all my make up done the next morning, it's still raining outside and photographer told me to take my own sweet time because he can't start shooting anyway.
Knowing I can't do anything if the weather isn't going to get better, I decided to give up and just go with the flow. We managed to get some shots under the drizzles 20 minutes before our turn. So touched and happy that every VIPs in my life showed up to witness this very precious moment. I'm never good at thank you speech, I probably going to miss out anyone, but I'm really really thankful.
It's also happy to see my workouts finally pay off! Eventhough I was bloated than I usually am on that particular day. I also found my ideal cropped top and dress for this special occasion without much hassles, triple up the happiness.
We pre-planned a staycation at Majestic Hotel a month before. It's a wedding gift from EKSW. The room was so spacious to the extent we thought we got the wrong room. The bathtub got us so excited. And 2 sinks in the bathroom? Just as what I always dreamed of. As you can see the room was specially decorated, it didn't ring a bell until I check with the receptionist upon check-out that they actually requested this via e-mail. Aww these people!
What a relief, really! One thing off the list now. We have just collected the photos from photographer and have yet to filter the best ones & send to print. :)

I managed to prepare this lil gift box very last minute with the limited sources I have. Thankfully Joe was away for business trip for 2 days prior to our ROM weekend so I get to prepare this at ease. It's just a very simple gesture, I just thought I should let him know how I felt once in a blue moon, especially on special occasion like this.
With only the last night I have before he comes back, I went on searching high and low for the perfect bow tie. I bought this one from Tangs because it's the nicest and the most unique one I can find. The rest are very common like plain black, navy blue or red, some with itsy-bitsy polka dots. Green is not our usual colour but it goes very well with his planned outfit.

I consider myself a hopeless romantic(which is why I have a penchant for rom-coms) but I was never the person to think of a fairytale relationship in real life. I never thought for a second that I'm ever going to get married. I'm so fussy, melodramatic, bad-tempered, couldn't make up my mind, naggy, and stubborn with an unbearable OCD issue(and the list goes on). Besides, I've seen and heard so much about unhappy marriage and cheating stories. Eventually I became someone who's not much of a believer in true love & marriage.
Then you came along at the right timing. Caring and concerned, just as you always are.
It means so much to me writing stuff that I'd never have the guts to speak to you. We have grown so much from being kindergarten playmates to schoolmates then classmates, from friends to buddies then housemates, from BFF to family and now.. husband and wife. You never once failed to be there whenever I needed you.
It's only been less than 2 years since we're together as a couple. It still feels so surreal to sleep and wake up next to you. I still fall in love with you everytime I look deep into your eyes. I still get butterflies while waiting for you to come home for the dinner I made specially for you. I look forward to prepare breakfast on weekend while you sleep, even sometimes you can't really eat. I love how we often say the same thing at the same time. I love how our hands and arms fit into each other perfectly. I love that sparks between us. I love that you know what's on my mind without asking. I love that we share the same taste & mindset. I love that you hardly say no even to my ridiculous request. I love it when you laugh at my stupid jokes and ugly faces. All in all, I love how our imperfections made us such a perfect match. I'm happy when you are too, I guess it's what they called happiness, it's as simple as that.
Being with you have also made me truest person I have ever been. Thank you for putting up with me and coping with my crazy tantrums. You have done this by simply being yourself and loving me unconditionally. There are times where I cry over little things or over absolutely nothing and it is just hard to understand the complexity of this behaviour but you always got a way out of me. You make me feel so special even I can be quite a bitch sometimes. I must have done something good in my past life to deserve such a great man like you.
Joe, the love of my life, my partner in crime, my brother, my best friend and soon-to-be husband.. Are you ready for Saturday? I'm just as excited as you are!

I finally have time to compile our birthdays trip + his proposal.
Everytime when we travel by ourselves, budgeting is a struggle. But we love our stay in Phi Phi Island so much, even though we didn't get to spend much time in the room. It's not cheap compared to many other hotels, it certainly does not have the most strategic location but it's worth every steps climbing up the stairs to get to the room and it's definitely worth every pennies we paid.
Joe went for scuba discovery the next day. It's the very same boat I was on last year with Evon. I like that it's free and easy with less than 15 person on the boat. Lunch and fruits will be served, and you get to make hot coffee as much as you can drink. The boy took us to a hidden bay nearby. It's a small bay with lots of hermit crabs. The view looking out from the bay is simply breathtaking. We laid on the beach just relax. It felt as all of our worries and stress get washed away as the waves crash along the shore.

Koh Hong, where he kneeled down and popped the question, on his birthday.
I told him that if he ever going to do it, please make sure I have my make up on and decently dressed. And yet he chose the time where I have salty messy hair, completely barefaced, plump body with a mismatched bikini because I thought, who's going to look at me thoroughly and judge me anyway? T__T

It was raining when we arrived at Krabi mainland. But it all went well, of course! We had dinner at a hilltop restaurant to celebrate Joe's birthday. It was a very simple occasion, just us enjoying our early dinner, laughing and taking pictures while watching the sun goes down.
Krabi has always been a place that I hold dear to, it's the first place I travelled abroad by myself. I've been going back every year, it's like my comfort place. Now Krabi has become a place that's even more special to me.
Now.. here comes the wedding prep nightmares every soon-to-be bride is afraid of......
