(Wat Yai Chai Mongkol)
I was exceptionally looking forward to this day and I'm not disappointed. I like Ayutthaya a lot. Everything from the magnificent buddha statues, the impressive structure of the ruins.. It's just so amazing. Wandering in the ruins made me feel like I've stepped back through time. I made a brief study on Ayutthaya history before the trip so I have an idea of what to expect. I can't wait to visit again next time because we only got to spend half day here this time around.

The car ride to Khao Yai was intensely exhausting especially when our hired driver can't speak nor understand basic English. Sunflower field being our first stop of our day tour, it quickly dissolves my frustration away. I wouldn't say it's well worth the ride travelling all the way to Khao Yai but I thought I must see it myself at least once.

I finally have time to compile our birthdays trip + his proposal.
Everytime when we travel by ourselves, budgeting is a struggle. But we love our stay in Phi Phi Island so much, even though we didn't get to spend much time in the room. It's not cheap compared to many other hotels, it certainly does not have the most strategic location but it's worth every steps climbing up the stairs to get to the room and it's definitely worth every pennies we paid.
Joe went for scuba discovery the next day. It's the very same boat I was on last year with Evon. I like that it's free and easy with less than 15 person on the boat. Lunch and fruits will be served, and you get to make hot coffee as much as you can drink. The boy took us to a hidden bay nearby. It's a small bay with lots of hermit crabs. The view looking out from the bay is simply breathtaking. We laid on the beach just relax. It felt as all of our worries and stress get washed away as the waves crash along the shore.

Koh Hong, where he kneeled down and popped the question, on his birthday.
I told him that if he ever going to do it, please make sure I have my make up on and decently dressed. And yet he chose the time where I have salty messy hair, completely barefaced, plump body with a mismatched bikini because I thought, who's going to look at me thoroughly and judge me anyway? T__T

It was raining when we arrived at Krabi mainland. But it all went well, of course! We had dinner at a hilltop restaurant to celebrate Joe's birthday. It was a very simple occasion, just us enjoying our early dinner, laughing and taking pictures while watching the sun goes down.
Krabi has always been a place that I hold dear to, it's the first place I travelled abroad by myself. I've been going back every year, it's like my comfort place. Now Krabi has become a place that's even more special to me.
Now.. here comes the wedding prep nightmares every soon-to-be bride is afraid of......

This is our 3rd trip within 9 months. -_- It's a different kind of trip this time as we stay in Langsuan area instead of the usual Pratunam. Man, I'm honestly so bored with Bangkok to the extent the each time I heard of it I feel so annoyed. I also dislike having to waste so much time in between waiting & flying.
Meeting Teddy for the first time is totally out of my plan. She saw my post and text me so we unhesitatingly plan for a quick date since she travelled alone, her time is pretty flexible. We met up at Platinum mall and walk to B Story Cafe next to Ratchathewi station, with the help of Google Maps wtf. It was so hot it hurts, we're sweating and also walking fast, trying to escape from the sun as we didn't wear sunscreen.

The spoons and plates are so lovely! Can I just steal these home?
About 2 hours passed and suddenly my phone rang... It was Casey, who thoughtfully ask if I can get back to hotel for a little gathering to celebrate his promotion back at their penthouse.
It's just difficult to say no when being asked right to your face..

And we actually got thrown a surprise engagement party! They have planned this for months how sweet is that. The whole process has been recorded in video. I looked so puzzled at the beginning of it wtf. They have prepared champagnes and some Thai street foods. I never thought I could have a group of friends who would do this for us. I'm starting to like all the party planning and gathering thing.
I don't usually make up when I travel(especially in the hottest Bangkok) but I was in the mood to do so after a good sleep of 10 hours so how could I possibly not take lots of selfies right? (Thank god it's the same day they threw us the party or else I'll look damn ugly and pale I won't even have pictures to share)
Oh ya I finally made it to Moomin cafe! I'm beyond happy to know they have just opened one in Siam Center last March. Now it's off my checklist for my future HK or JP trip LOL

I was really the happiest girl on that day.

We heard about the sudden drop of temperature in Bangkok few days before we left so we're really anticipated the chill weather. But Bangkok being Bangkok, it's super sunny and hot as usual. We walked and stayed under the sun most of the time and it was super dehydrating. I didn't drink a lot of water so as what might have expected, I came home with even worst sore throat plus a flu and I had to skip work the next day.
For 3 days straight we walked for average of 12 hours per day. My god! Can you imagine how sore my feet was? I really think I've finished up the walking quota for the whole year. I went for massage 3 times max in a day. We bought so many snacks from Big C which was not in our plan, and for the first time we had to get cartons wrapped at the airport to make sure any packs of potato chips are not going to burst.
Street foods, wanton noodles, crepes(Union Mall has the best crepes in the world!), endless of coconut water and cha yen(it means iced milk tea in thai), bowls of mihun soup, taking the scariest tuk-tuk ride, braving the heat at Chatuchak, a nice foot massage we keep coming back to.. let's just sum this trip up with crazy, but it was more to fun part! We had so much laughters! We celebrated SW's birthday in the hotel room when clock strikes zero-zero(*insidejoke), KY's gf bought her a Winnie Pooh cake!
(I think I've also drank more Cokes in 4 days compared to my entire past year fml)
SW and EK left a day earlier so we had a full day to ourselves. We have no plans for that day but to visit this Huskies cafe. They have like 20 Huskies and it feels terrifying when group of them running around you. I couldn't help feeling scared of them. -_- Just look at their sizes and you'll get what I mean.

But still, they're so cute isn't it?!

I finally braved myself to try street foods despite the risk of getting food poisoning. I think I'm just over worried(and too busy shopping I have no time for real foods), but I do have friends getting bad diarrhea after their BKK trip so prevent is better than cure. It's all about walking in & out every 7-11 we've walked past and endless bowls of vermicelli soup from street stalls this time. D:
Thank you for the good weather, Bangkok, we will see you again in exactly one month time.

It's entirely different at Phi Phi Island compared to Ao Nang. You will still see long tail boats lining up by the seashore, but there's another beach on the other side of island where you will find a lot of tourists sunbathing on the beach, swimming in the sea, playing water sports & etc..

I was dumbstruck upon reaching the said beach at night, it's so packed with tourists and the music blasting from one bar to another on the same row, there's also fire show performances along the beach.. We found ourselves a cosy seat to lay back and relax.. As usual I almost fall asleep even with the loud music and bass system because it gets so breezy after! Oh ya, the drinks are dirt cheap too!

Thank God for the perfect weather and blessings throughout the trip, where I got to try things for the first time and came home safe with a better state of mind. Most importantly, I've never felt so pumped up to be back at work. This motivation better keeps going. x
