故事的小野花

I spent my time wandering around the club to take photos with my new toy while the live band were doing rehearsal. I have been going through the instruction manual for too many times(Thanks to Dropbox I can read the manual wherever I go) and really worried about the results. I was expecting this roll to turn out mostly underexposed or overexposed because I am totally new in SLR.

It's really surprising to me how these pictures turned out so sharp. I guess I'll be forever ditching Lomo cameras that uses plastic lens in the camera.

I'm glad everything has come to an end.

In the meantime, I'm kind of excited about tomorrow. I will be going on a spontaneous trip. Hopefully I can make good use of Ollie during this trip.

I managed to visit this hidden cafe earlier today. It's located near to my place. I like how cosy and simple everything is, it only takes up a small corner at the outside of an art gallery. I went there during lunch time, it was kinda windy and shady because it's under all the big trees. I love that it's quiet and peaceful too..

Can't believe it's new year again. I have been telling friends that 2012 ended too soon and all of them felt the same way I do! To say I have achieved nothing at all is completely wrong because just last September, I decided to finally take the risk to leave my comfort zone and start doing what I really want to do with my life — designing, which also indicates leaving my loved ones and started a life on my own.

Skyscrapers, busy traffic, air pollution etc. Being back in the city after 2 years feels so different. So much has changed here, included myself. When I was a student, I spent most time hanging out after classes and have weekend plans sorted out way earlier. This time, I spend my weekdays working and just staying at home during the weekend. It's a different type of productivity I'm trying to accomplish here. I started to enjoy my life from a different point of view. That's the very reason we decorated this apartment like a home than a lifeless hostel.

Anyway, I wanna thank whoever offered helps and supports along this journey, especially during my first month here. It was a tough one. I couldn't have come this far without anyone of you, especially friends staying so far away but they never fail to be there for me. Thanks to smartphones and Whatsapp so we can stay connected every single day.
Flying

After endless rantings to my close friends about how badly I want to quit my job(seriously, I have been whining about it ever since I started working 2 years ago!). I finally threw in my resignation letter 2 days ago. It took me lots of courage and determination but it was such a big relief to me, even though my financial situation at the moment is not being supportive.

One fine day my brother suddenly said to me: "Take it slow, Jie. you can't rush this kind of thing."

Some of the photos taken on my last trip to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Love how the blue tone turned out that matches the whole Vietnamese feel. I think it was the slide film effect.
